Like organizing things? Does crossing an item off of your “to-do list” make you happy? Good at telling people what to do without pissing them off?

CATEGORY:OTHER wants to show you how to turn these talents into an actual career skill by having you join us a PROJECT MANAGEMENT INTERN.

As a project manager, you’ll become a master at:

Using Excel and Google Docs to track projects – internationally!

Turning “big picture” ideas into specific “next steps”

Figuring out what needs to happen and when

Prioritizing multiple task items

Telling “the boss” what to do and when to do it

As a project management intern, you may not become a master at these skills, but you’ll get great hands-on experience and tons of flexibility as well as responsibility – allowing you to take charge in a supportive, friendly, laid-back atmosphere.

CATEGORY:OTHER is a start-up incubator that works with many online media and marketing companies to build great brands and products that help people live happier lives. We are a small team located at 29th & Broadway – one block from the N/R — in a funky, no-cubicles office space.

You should be able to intern one day a week (11a – 5p or so) for the duration of the Fall Semester; at the conclusion of the internship we’ll have lunch to see if there’s mutual interest in continuing on through the Spring 2010 Semester.

Here’s what past interns have said about their CATEGORY:OTHER experience:

I had such an amazing time! You are such an inspiring person & a great mentor, and I felt that I learned so much.

I just wanted to take the time to tell you how grateful I am that you gave me this opportunity. I am so glad that you gave me responsibilities and trusted me to take on those responsibilities.

Do you have what it takes to be the next CATEGORY:OTHER intern? Are you willing to laugh at our lame jokes so that we feel like we have a good sense of humor? Do you want to learn a ton about how to manage a project from start to finish and be the “glue” that helps to make it happen?

Apply today by pasting your resume after a brief introductory email to internships at categoryOTHER.com. Please attach a .pdf of your unofficial transcript – and don’t worry if you don’t have great grades; we’re more interested in the kinds of courses you’re taking and what interests you.
Be sure to provide your contact information.

And GOOD LUCK!
